What’s the best kids’ bike to get my child?

There are lots of kids’ bikes to choose from, so narrowing down your options can be hard! The main thing is to ensure the purpose and features of the bike match your child’s skill level. For example, most young kids will likely only ride short distances around the neighborhood. They benefit from a simple, hybrid-style little kids’ bike without unnecessary features. As kids get older and gain more skills, they’ll be able to choose from several types of bikes with many different kinds of features. Pro tip: girls’ bikes and boys’ bikes are essentially the same, they just might have different colors or graphics.

I brought my e bike in to have the gears fixed, told me two days then it was done in an hour. Great atmosphere, awesome work and really cool people. Mechanic was very thorough and made sure that i knew exactly what the issue was. Definitely my new favorite bike shop

I was on a bike tour and got a flat. On this new (and very tight) bike, I could not get the tire over the rim! Found and went to Norm's. Very prompt, accurate, and fairly-priced repair, including filing down a burr on the rim that had caused the flat. Two ways John went beyond the call of duty--giving me a free swap for my spare tube (which was incompatible with the rim) and a free ride back to the motel. (BTW, I later found that with a new rim strip, which was thinner and has less friction than the original, I can now get the tire over the rim myself.)

Renting bikes from Norm's was a great experience! I called and spoke with April who made sure our bikes were ready to go when we showed up 30 minutes later. The bikes and helmets they provided were in great condition and the right sizes for us. We were new to the area, so really appreciated both the trail maps and April's suggestion to use AllTrails to make sure we knew where we were going. Trail access is very close to the shop and there is a bridge under the road that connects with the trail so you don't have to cross a major highway. The rates were reasonable as well. Highly recommend this shop for their top notch service!!!

Edit, I wrote this review back before the new ownership, but hope the quality has continued. The best shop in southern NH. If you need a bike right now, go there and get it. If you need accessories, they might have it. If not, they will order you exactly what you need. Don't waste your time online when Norms can get it for you for the same price. Be a real biker and support your local shop.
